During the first quarantine in March 2020, we set our mind on meticulously building an innovative new educational platform from scratch, with our learners’ ever-evolving needs in mind. Our students only (and their parents/ guardians) are given access to myschool.markoulaki.gr, where a unique private environment awaits them, comprising of:
An e-library for each group, containing useful links and carefully organised resources fitting the CEFR level of each class.
Homework lists with authentic videos and related links, specially made to attract interest and encourage asynchronous learning.
An announcements’ section and banner notifications regarding school news, interesting learning resources or the class timetable.
Special pages for students, teachers, the headmaster and the administration with useful link lists and specific dashboard features for each of these accounts.
A blogging section, where all creativity is allowed to unfold. Every single student posts and receives comments, always in English, about any topic of interest, related or not to our lessons. The teachers may step in providing valuable feedback, while group projects can spring to life.
Personal messages between teachers and students (or their parents) with an email notification, enabling easy communication, the exchange of written work and the reception of term reports.
