ITDi will be an online portal offering professional development opportunities for the full range of teachers from beginners who want to get off on the right foot, to veterans who want to reconsider or re-energize their approach in the classroom. Initially, two courses are being offered: Teacher Development (TD) and English for Teachers (EFT).

As the era of Collaboration 2.0 has now clearly arrived, just about anything is possible these days and almost everything is attainable for people with good ideas and the drive or determination to make them happen. As the world continues to get smaller, I now regularly have Skype meetings with people living on 3 or 4 different continents. The seeds for this kind of synergy began for me personally about 5 years ago.

I am very fortunate to have been invited to participate in the EFT authors’ team. That is, a group of well-known teacher-bloggers who give their opinion on as well as add to the material that Chuck Sandy and Barbara Hoskins- Sakamoto produce for teachers who wish to enrich the language they employ in the classroom.

I have created the new label ‘iTDi Project’ to tag any post relevant to it, since I intend to publish some of the opinions I express in order to get other teachers’ and, most importantly, students’ feedback.
A big thank you to Barbara and Chuck for offering me the opportunity to be a part of such an original online project! The first sample modules will be published in the coming months to prove the hard work and inspiring ideas which they were based upon.
