The final reading competition among three French schools and ours took place on 22nd June. We came second and the experience was amazing! Our students had tremendous fun, while they rejoiced in their e-pals’ victory and wholeheartedly congratulated Aniella Lebeau’s team.

The procedure was a bit more complicated than in the other two competitions, but much more entertaining, as well. The activities were completed in the order described below:

1st activity: A crossword puzzle and matching activity  (15 minutes)

2nd activity: The interactive quiz filled in online (30 seconds for each question)

3rd activity: Brainstorm  (2 minutes per theme)
The goal was to say as many words reltated to the topic as possible to find out the ones which are on the teachers’ paper. There were two types of topics: the easy ones (Matilda, Trunchbull and Crunchem Hall school) and the not so easy ones (Wormwood’s Cars, Trunchbull’s insults and the library).

4th activity: Miming the book characters (2 mimes per team)

5th activity: Pictionary (drawings of three characters or objects in the story)
