We usually have such reading competitions with our e-pals, but since they couldn’t make it this time, we had to make do on our own. Therefore, the 10-year-old students divided into two teams, the ‘War’ and the ‘Horse’ (surprisingly enough), which competed against each other, completing a number of different activities, before they tied at the score of 100 points.

One of the competition stages was Pictionary to test the vocabulary in the book. Drawing the phrase ‘no-man’s-land’. |
 |
Another stage: Pantomime! Miming the word ‘sword’. |

Cooperation was vital. For the reading activities to be completed, some students checked the text on the ebook, while others recorded the answers. |
