This is to celebrating poetry and its enormous impact on the readers, based on the opportunity provided annually by the International Day of Poetry and Day Against Racism on 21st March. Here are some of the slides we used in class in order for children to understand the mechanisms that excite imagination in a rather impersonal technological world.

➽ Reading and writing spring poems as well as using alliteration to write the most amazing tongue twisters!

➽ Anti- racist messages and posters by C’ Class.

➽ Inspiring films which were followed by related debates and essay writing in our advanced classes.

➽ Well- known poems which can easily be interpreted, understood and loved by all age groups.

➽ Terrific poetry application, downloaded to all school iPads.

When your little ones start producing their own unique poems and using alliteration in their own tongue twisters, then you rest assured that incorporating poetry in an already tight schedule of lessons was entirely worth the effort!
